Open Community Day

Oakwood Center Community Days are open to all Friends of Oakwood. These are days when we are not hosting a retreat and Friends are free to stop by and participate in activities going on throughout the day or simply just relax and enjoy being at Oakwood.

Join us as we celebrate Spring and dance the traditional Maypole dance of European ancestors.  


Activities include wreath and flower crown making, Maypole dancing, live folk music, and a meal.

Campus Renewal Saturdays
April 14, 21, and 28

Help Oakwood make an effort to control invasive plant species threatening the beauty of the

campus and wild areas. Garlic mustard, bush honeysuckle and mulberry are at the top of the list.  

Be part of restoring the World Garden, which is in danger of being overgrown.


Young and old, at all levels of physical strength and stamina, will be useful.

  The type of projects undertaken will vary based on need and weather factors. 


Have specialized skills such as carpentry, masonry, landscaping, arboriculture,

painting, handiwork, etc.?  Let us know!
